Nine suspected members of banned party detained in Kyrgyz south

Nine active members of the religious and extremist Hezb-e Tahrir party were detained during an operation [codenamed] Ekstremist conducted by officers of the Dzhalal-Abad Region internal affairs directorate's department No 10 from 9 to 14 February 2012.
A spokesman for the internal affairs directorate, Taalaybek Susunbayev, said that four active Hezb-e Tahrir members were detained during the operation Ekstremist conducted on the territory of Suzak District at 0700 [local time: 0100 gmt] on 13 February. Two notebooks, 398 books of religious and extremist nature, 42 brochures, 182 CD and DVD discs and 49 audio cassettes were seized.
Five active members of this party have also been detained in Nookent District and literature of religious and extremist nature had been seized.
